This new Johnson County Library is situated within the Lenexa City Center development. This new City Center is community space for Lenexa residents, and contains a variety of activities and public spaces that includes the library.

Angular forms of the building are mirrored in the ground-plane creating unique pedestrian spaces allowing free movement around the building, while limestone plinths jut out from the building providing seating opportunities. Pavement, plantings, and furnishings tie into the existing plaza finishing out this community gathering space.

LAND3 provided design and construction documentation for paving finishes, plantings, irrigation, and furnishings.
